Daye continues to be impressed by Neshkoro Community Chorus

To the Editor:

Once again The Neshkoro Community Chorus did an outstanding job with the Christmas Concert given on Saturday evening, Dec. 5, at St. James Place in Neshkoro.

This group of singers comes from surrounding areas and they practice, giving freely of their time for eight Thursday nights so that they cam give these concerts. With the Directors Marilyn Brockopp and Wayne Doverspike, accompanied by Debbie Staffeldt, of which none receive a penny for the work and effort of singers.

Before the concerts I have talked to several that take part and they tell how much they all enjoy the chance to get together with the rest and share their talents with the public.

Saturday night St. James Place was filled with an excited audience waiting to hear these dedicated people entertain us and get us really in the Christmas Spirit.

At intermission something new was added this year and that was to have the people previously vote for a Neshkoro Citizen of the Year, this was announced to be a very well deserving person of the village, Her name Rose Gulbronson. She also is a person that goes way above the role of  Good Citizen as you can see her ready to help out the community and any person in need of something.

The Christmas concerts close with inviting anyone that is familiar and has previously sung “The Hallelujah Chorus.”  This draws a large number of people from the audi-ence, if the first part didn’t do something for you the last song surely had to have done it.

If you have missed these concerts watch for this coming July when they again will be preforming, if you also love to sing and can do it they are always welcoming more good voices. I also want to commend St James Parish for allowing this to be held in their lovely facility.

You made my Christmas Season shine brighter.
