Community comes together for this year’s Waushara Christmas Project
To the editor:
The Waushara Community Christmas Pro-ject is approaching 400 individuals and families, with a Dec. 5 deadline for applying. Interested individuals can register at Waushara Industries, 210 E. Chicago Rd, Wautoma, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proof or residency is required. Applicants will receive a food box and children 12 and under will receive gifts.
Those in the community who wish to help may do so by donating money, gifts or time. The workdays will be Dec. 12 and 13 beginning at 8 a.m. at Waushara Industries as we build and pack boxes and wrap gifts. The distribution day will be Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Many community mem-bers donate time to pack and wrap gifts, including Parkside students, Wautoma and Wild Rose Key Club students and many from schools, churches, businesses, and service clubs. This is truly a community project and a great opportunity to help those in need and bring some Christmas cheer to families at Christmas time.
