Raymond R. Warzynski, age 94, a resident of Almond, WI (Heffron) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born at home on April 23, 1929 in Heffron, WI; son of Czeslaw "Charles" and Charlotte (Antkowiak) Warzynski. On October 17, 1959 Ray married Rosemary Lecher at St. Martin's Catholic Church in the Town of Buena Vista, WI. Together, they raised four children - Patricia, Michael, Carolyn, and David. He will be dearly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Raymond attended Neale School, a one room schoolhouse in the Township of Belmont thru the eighth grade. He then helped on his family farm and worked various jobs in the area.
In 1951, Ray was drafted into the US Army. He proudly served his country as Private First Class in Fort Bragg, NC. After two years, he was honorably discharged and moved to and worked in Chicago, IL. He later returned to Central Wisconsin and worked at Almond Well and Plumbing.
1959 was a monumental year as he both bought the family farm and met the love of his life, Rosemary Lecher. He found his "Rosie" at Moore Barn where they shared their first polka dance. Through hard work and determination both a family and a farm flourished. His smart thinking and ingenuity greatly contributed to the success of the farm that has become Warzynski Paradise Farms Inc today.
Raymond loved to drive his tractors and work the land, which he did until the age of 90. He also enjoyed going for rides on his Gator, listening and dancing to polka music, attending auctions, fishing, building wooden keepsakes for family, and going for rides with his sons to check the fields or to pick up parts for the farm. Ray also enjoyed reading the newspaper every day "religiously". His absolute favorite thing was spending time with family and friends. His welcoming nature made everyone he met feel like family. He couldn't go anywhere without knowing someone.
Ray was a proud life member of the Mead-RathGutke American Legion Post 339 in Almond and was a lifelong member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Almond, WI (St. John the Baptist Catholic Church-Heffron).
Ray and Rose enjoyed traveling to all 50 states and several countries. They spent winter months in Florida, Texas, and Arizona for many years. They shared many memories and made many friends. It turned into 64 years of happily ever after.
Above all, Raymond loved his family. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Rosemary Warzynski; four children Patricia (Larry) Tullberg, Michael (Bonnie) Warzynski, Carolyn (Richard) Perzinski, and David (Kim) Warzynski; twelve grandchildren Sabrina (Paul) Erdman, Jon (Cierra) Tullberg, Priscilla (Alec) Kosloske, Vanessa Tullberg, Zachary (Stephanie) Perzinski, Deziree (Brett) Schultz, Russell Carey, Carissa (Mica) Molski, Kyle (Hattie) Warzynski, Makayla Perzinski, Melissa Perzinski, and Ryan Warzynski; thirteen great-grandchildren Lance, Lily Rose, & Logan Erdman; Jaxson & Julia Ryden; Jacobi Tullberg; Roman Tullberg; Kameron Schultz; Barrett Ryden; Eislee Perzinski; Presley Schultz; Izaak Perzinski; and Amara Warzynski; a sister Adele Korleski; sisters-in-law Diane (Charles) Holtz and Dawn Parra; and also by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; fourteen siblings along with their spouses; one brother-in-law; and many other beloved family and friends.
The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude and special thanks to the staff at Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care they gave Raymond during his last years. A Funeral Mass for Ray will be on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Almond, WI. Father Peter Manickam and Father Jim Trempe will preside.
