Phyllis R. Cole, age 89,
of Wisconsin Rapids, WI,
passed away Thursday
December 14, 2023, at
Wisconsin Rapids Health
Services.
A service has already been held at Faith Reformed church in Wisconsin Rapids.
Phyllis was born on March 17, 1934 in Mauston, WI, to Ray and Lillian (Janke) Frost. She married Gay (Bill) Cole on October 8, 1952 in Babcock, WI.
Phyllis worked many jobs including being a housewife, a secretary, and working in retail customer service. She worked at Consolidated Papers as well as Woolco Department Store. Phyllis really enjoyed all things music. She was a very talented pianist and singer. She was a member of multiple church organizations, mostly involved in the music ministry. She was in choir over the span of 40 plus years for many different churches. Her favorite thing was to attend her grandchildren’s school and sporting events throughout their years in school. She took any opportunity she could to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Randy) Olsen of Wild Rose, WI; grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) Davis, Leslie (Jeff) Paschall, and Matthew (Terry) Davis; great grandchildren, Leah, Logan, and Brady Davis, and William, Cole, Miles, and Lilly Paschall; and nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Bill (G.H.) Cole; parents, Ray and Lillian Frost; stepfather, Theodore Janke; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Ray Plenge; and stepsister, Lillian Williams.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Sally and Gary Raab for being great friends/cousins, the staff at Heartland Hospice, and the staff at Wisconsin Rapids Health Services.
