Margene C. Kister (nee Baker), age 70 of Redgranite, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away early Monday morning, Oct. 12, 2020 at the Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Margene was born February 26, 1950 in Milwaukee, a daughter of Harold and Marvis (Lacko) Baker. She married Joel Peter Kister February 8, 1969 in Milwaukee. Joel preceded Margene in death July 21st of this year, after 51 years of marriage.
Margene was raised in the Milwaukee area, and was a 1968 Graduate of Brown Deer High School. She worked in the medical field for all her working life. She was employed at a doctor’s office and at St. Joseph’s’s hospital in Milwaukee. She enjoyed doing office work and working with computers. Margene was a refund manager when she retired in February of 2019.
She enjoyed crocheting and reading her bible. She had a great love of dogs, and had been a member of the American Kennel Club. Most of all, Margene loved her family.
The Kisters moved to Redgranite in 2019.
Margene is survived by a son Chris Kister of Redgranite, a daughter, Lisa (Dan) Bohn of West Bend, and her grandchildren, Dylan, Margaret, Joshua, and Zechariah. Margene is also survived by 2 brothers, Marvin Baker of Texas, and Dennis Baker of Florida, and a sister, Debbie Baker of Wisconsin, other relatives, and her dear friends, especially Sandy, and Linda. Her 3 canine companions, Chance, Emma, and Buddy also survive.
Margene was preceded in death by her husband, Joel, a brother, Dean, and her parents.
Funeral Services for Margene C. Kister were held October 17, at 3 p.m. at the Ruminski Funeral Home in Redgranite. The Rev. Andrew Bullant officiated.
Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday prior to the time of Services at the funeral home.
Margene was laid to rest October 19, at 1:30 p.m. in the Garden of Eternal Life, Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
Memorials will be appreciated in Margene’s memory in place of flowers.
