Luise Margaret (Grups) Lorenz, 91 of Wautoma, a former resident for 40 years of Pearl Lake, rural Redgranite, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, November 28, 2017, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. Luise was born in Germany on Nov. 17, 1926.

Luise married Vince Lorenz on June 5, 1971, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Wautoma. He preceded Luise in death in 2009, after 38 years of marriage.

Luise loved all animals, and fed them all. Her special love was for Poochy, her German Shepherd, that she had for many years. She also loved traveling, and on these trips, she looked for precious gems and stones in the deserts of Arizona.

Luise worked from her home for many years, making dried flower bouquets.  She sold her bouquets to hospital gift shops in the Milwaukee area.

Following her marriage to Vince, they started a business buying goods and selling them at flea markets all over Wisconsin. Their favorite place to sell was at the Princeton Flea Market, where they sold their items for 30 years. In the fall, they loaded their camper with their wares and sold them at flea markets in Arizona.

Luise was Baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses in 1972. Her greatest love was talking to others about the Bible, and the hope of a better future found in it.

Survivors include her son, Sid (Debra) Lorenz; her grandchildren, Lucinda, Logan and Boone; her “son” Roger Morrison; other relatives and friends.

Memorial Services for Luise will be held Sunday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, N2287 17th. Drive, Wautoma. Mr. Tim Topping will be presiding.

There will be a time of visitation from 1 to 2 p.m., one hour prior to the time of Services Sunday at Kingdom Hall in Wautoma.

The Ruminski Funeral Home of Redgranite is assisting the Lorenz family with arrangements.
