Wautoma native, Lowell Lavern Lachelt, 86, of Arcadia, CA, died August 3.He was born on January 11, 1934, the son of the late Robert and Leona (Dehding) Lachelt. He graduated in 1955 from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
He was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States of America Army. While serving he met his future wife, Patricia Stevenson.
After leaving the military he took a position with Eli Lilly and Company and was employed for 35 years, retiring in 1994.
He is survived by one son, two daughters, their spouses and grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Beverly Findlay of Antigo, whom he dearly loved. His wife died in 2015.
As was Lowell’s practiced, he and often his family joined him summers to travel to Wautoma for visits with family members, old classmates, friends, and relatives.
