Lena L. (Weber) Attoe, age 85 of Wautoma passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Tomah Health in Tomah surrounded by her family.
She was born to Albert and Clara (Schlichting) Weber of Almond on June 7, 1938. Lena graduated from Almond High School. On July 26, 1958 she married David Attoe at Wild Rose Baptist Church where she was a faithful member. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and church organist for 72 years, starting when she was just 13 years old. Lena worked for Union State Bank (now Associated Bank) for 50 years. After retiring, she was a caregiver to her husband until his death. She loved being with her children, hearing about all of their lives, joys and trials. Lena loved spending time with her grandchildren and sharing in their activities. Her Friday night suppers with her friends lit up her whole week. Even though the last few years have been laddened with health problems, Lena was always positive up until the end.
Lena is survived by her children: Charlene (Kevin) Rabe, Wendell (Kathy) Attoe; six grandchildren: Stephanie (David) Clabots, Jordan (Rayann) Attoe, Molly Attoe, Julia Rabe, Joel Rabe, Jenna (Dustin Zimmerman) Rabe; six great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Liam and Logan Clabots, Zoey, Emmie and Lily Attoe; brother: Arlyn Weber; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: David Attoe; sister and brother-in-law: Ardis and Arnold Sorenson; sister-in-law: Sharon Weber; brother-in-law: Roger Attoe.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Wild Rose Baptist Church with burial to follow in Ravine Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Saturday from 9:30AM until the time of services at 11AM.
