Lauretta Elaine Detlor, age 91, of Hancock, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon October 22, 2023 at her home.
She was born December 12, 1931 to Anthony and Gladys (Walker) Wallner in the town of Almond. She attended grade school in Plainfield and graduated from TriCounty High School. She later attended and graduated from UW Stevens Point with a degree in education. She married Lowell W. Detlor August 23, 1952, together they farmed for 71 years and had six children, Linda Detlor, Lois (Jon) Van Loenen, Gordon (Amy) Detlor, Gary (Mary) Detlor and Galen (Kelly) Detlor, 11 grandchildren, 9 greatgrandchildren; two loving sisters, Elizabeth Ingersoll and Carol Klabunde; a sister-in-law, Mary Gardener; She is further survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Lauretta was preceded in death by her husband, her son Glenn and three sisters and two brothers, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Lauretta was a member of the Oasis HCE for 71 years and a 4-H Leader. She shared her love of cooking and gardening with many. She will be remembered for her warm smile and cheerful heart. Love never ends.
Memorial Services for both Lauretta and Lowell will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be in the North Deerfield Cemetery.
