Joyce R. DeLaura, age 81, of Wautoma, passed away early Sunday morning, November 15, 2020 at ThedaCare Medical Center in Berlin due to complications of COVID-19.
She was born October 16, 1939 in the Town of Richford, the daughter of Victor and Ruth (Bandt) Daye. She married Robert W. DeLaura on September 6, 1966.
Joyce was a 1957 graduate of Wautoma High School. She helped her husband in operating the former Tilly’s Bar in Wautoma for many years. Joyce enjoyed snowmobiling and later in life, spending the winter months in Pharr, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Robert W. DeLaura, Wautoma; one daughter, Kelly (Kenneth) Hicks, Claremore, Oklahoma; one son, Jeffrey (Susan) DeLaura, Madison; three grandchildren, Catlin (Valerie) Knaack, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Alex and Elle DeLaura, Madison; two great grandchildren, Caden and Skyla; one sister-in-law, Virginia Prehn, Wautoma. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and by three brothers, Eldon Daye, Merlin (Erma) Daye, and Wilbur (Alice) Daye.
