John G. Krupela, 94, Wautoma, passed away Saturday morning, March 14, 2015, at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.

He was born Feb. 20, 1921, in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph and Anna (Kopala) Krupela. He married the former Harriet R. Hedberg on May 31, 1942, in Chicago. She preceded him in death on Feb. 7, 1996.

John was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Northern France and Rhineland, Germany during World War II.

He is survived by two sons: John J. (Betty) Krupela, Butternut, and Richard T. Krupela, Wautoma; two grandsons: Jason (Desiree) Krupela, Miami, FL, and Damon (Dawn) Krupela, Belton, TX; one great grandson: Jason Krupela, Jr. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one sister: Anna Warzynski; three brothers: Michael “Gabby” Krupela, Alex Krupela, and Walter Krupela.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma, with Rev. David Greskowiak officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wautoma.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

The Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma is assisting the family with arrangements.
