ERIC R. PILSL

   Eric R. Pilsl, age 50, of Wild Rose, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, Saturday afternoon, February 27, 2021 at his home.

   He was born November 10, 1970 in Oshkosh, the son of Al and Susan (Parker) Pilsl.  On July 4, 2018 he married the love of his life, Jennifer Lynn Schwartzman.

   Eric was a graduate of Saint Mary’s Springs High School and went on to attend Ripon College where he received his bachelor’s degree and later attended Marquette University where he received his master’s degree. After graduation he was employed as a pharmaceutical sales rep until his passion for working with young kids lead him to his teaching career at Parkside Middle School in Wautoma as a math teacher.

Eric was a man that could light up a room with his contagious smile, outgoing personality, and love for people.  He loved the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, cooking and playing golf.  He will be fondly remembered for his bartending skills from the Moose Inn to 220 Main Street and most recently Nordic Mountain Ski Hill. Eric always enjoyed conversations and being around people.  He took great pride in his students at Parkside Middle School in Wautoma where he devoted his time as a track coach.  Eric will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to meet him.  He made the world a better place!

   Eric is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his special stepsons, Ashton and Hayden Schwartzman; his parents, Al and Susan Pilsl; his brother, Andrew (Jennifer) Pilsl and their children, Ann and Emma; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Bernadette Johnston; his brothers-in-law, Joshua (Joni) Wiese, Jason (special friend, Mel) Wiese, Erik (Nicole) Johnston and sister-in-law, Melinda (Kelly) Sawyer; his canine companion, Turner; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many many special friends.

   He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

   Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 12 Noon until 4 p.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield with services to follow.  Burial will be in the Fish Lake Cemetery at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Eric’s name.
