ELLA J. GABLE

Ella J. Gable, age 88, formerly of Silver Creek, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (March 23, 2021) at Cedar Grove Gardens where she was a resident for the past couple years.

She was born on January 24, 1933 in Wautoma, a daughter of the late Adolph and Laura (Sauer) Schubert.

Ella attended Wautoma Grade School and High School.

On August 27, 1949, she married Alec A. Gable in Wautoma. In 1965, the couple resided in Silver Creek.  Her husband preceded her in death on December 31, 2004.

Ella worked at Doerr Electric in Cedarburg and also enjoyed working at flea markets selling Aloe Vera with her husband.

She was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses. Ella enjoyed quilting, baking, shopping, volunteering at Redgranite Grade School and most of all spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her eight children: Duane (Joan) Gable, David Gable, Sharon (Lyle) Gable Heisler, Chris Kutz (special friend: Patrick Brennan), Mark (Mickey) Gable, Curt Gable, Ken (Rhonda) Gable, Shelly Reilly (special friend: Andrew Meyer); 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; Daughter-in-law: Jamie Gable; sister: Edna Ernst; brother: Lawrence (Doris) Schubert; and four brothers-in-law: Larry (Carol) Gable, John Novotney, Jerry Gable, and Chris Mandeik.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son: James Gable; infant son; three brothers: Gordon Schubert, Daniel Schubert, and infant brother; three sisters: Irene Dickmann, Celia Schubert, Hazel Novotney; sister-in-law: Eunice Mandeik; and brother-in-law: Donald Gable.

Visitation will take place on Saturday (April 3, 2021) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., with a service to follow led by her granddaughter, Amy Gable. Services will be available to watch via live stream on www.facebook.com/suchonfuneral/.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Ella’s name.
