Donald E. Hudson
Donald E. Hudson, age 73, Town of Hull, WI, died at home on November 9, 2015.
Donald was born March 11, 1942 to the late Roy and June (Roeber) Hudson in Milwaukee, WI. He grew up there and attended High School.
He was inducted into the U.S. Marine Corp. on October 17, 1960. During his time of service, Donald received a Rifle Expert Badge and a Good Conduct Medal. He was honorably discharged on September 14, 1966.
After his time of service, Donald work for the Glendale, WI Highway Dept. He later seized the opportunity to attend Deep Sea Commercial Diving School. Donald pursued salvage and shipwreck diving until he later found work installing aluminum siding.
In 1966, he married Judy Thiemer. They managed an apartment complex for several years in Menominee Falls until later divorcing. Donald subsequently bought an old hobby farm house, where he enjoyed homesteading and living off the land. Together, Don and Judy had two daughters Holly (Mark) Hanson and Kelly Hudson; six grandchildren MacKenzie, Jacob, Emma, Gracie, Zachary and Bronson and two great grandchildren Aiden and Ava.
He married Susan Thompson on August 15, 1982. They enjoyed country living until moving to the Stevens Point area where Donald became the head of maintains at St Paul United Methodist Church. He worked there until retiring.
Donald will be remembered for being a free spirit and for his soft spoken nature. He was considered a manly man who was protective of his family, and enjoyed living off the land as an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed traveling and camping. Donald loved being out on the water; he especially prized to wreck diving. In his spare time, he liked to draw and paint. Donald was known as a conspiracy theorist and had an alternative answer for current headlining news.
Survivors include his wife Susan; step children, Kim Hutchison, Jaimi (Scott) Lamprich, Nicholas Hutchison; grandchildren, Mason, Cora, Kayla, Michael, Jonathon, Lucas, & Traven; great grandchildren, Gracelynn, and Shae.
Former wife Judy Thiemer (Sellers) children, Holly (Mark) Hanson and Kelly Hudson; six grandchildren MacKenzie, Jacob, Emma, Gracie, Zachary and Bronson and two great grandchildren Aiden and Ava. Survivors also include his siblings, Donna (Jerry) Cribben and Lynn Sobecke and many nieces and nephews.
A Time of Sharing Memories will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Boston Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation, beginning at 3:00 p.m. with military honors concluding the service.
