DANIEL NORMAN KAINZ

Daniel Norman Kainz, of Coloma, transitioned peacefully to heaven on July 21, 2022, after a short battle with cancer. His surviving children, Norman, Laura, Dianna and Jessica, were by his side allowing him to pass comfortably in his home per his wishes and honored his choice of privacy in his illness.

Born on May 26, 1943, in Waukesha; the son of Norman and Esther Kainz, Dan lived most of his life in southeastern Wisconsin. Dan was a tool and die maker for many years, apprenticing first with Mutual Machine, then moving to Hein Werner, Dan Krall and Company and finally retiring from Ladish Company.

He and Karen married on July 3, 1981 and lived in South Milwaukee. They bought property in Coloma and in 2001 moved to the retirement home they built there.  He loved to hunt and fish. Dan and Karen had many friends in this area.  He also enjoyed playing cards, participating in activities and events with the Lions Club and listening to live country music.

Dan is survived by his children, Norman (Nancy) Kainz; Laura (Ron) Christie; son-in-law Wayne Krenz; Dianna Sullivan; Jessica Loflin (Michael), his grandchildren, Dan (Tammy) Kainz, Nick (Kaley) Kainz, Derek (Laura) Dobrecevich,  Jonas (Johanna) Christie, Jordon (Cristina) Christie, Luke (Kama) Krenz, Rachel Krenz, Strya Sullivan, Reyna Sullivan, Liam Loflin; great grandchildren, Hailey Kainz, Mason Dobrecevich, Colton Kainz, Payton Kainz, Blair Christie, Jack Backhurst, Rowan Christie, Daniela Christie; his siblings, Ron (Pat) Kainz,  Sue Samuels and Rita (Bob) Pafford; further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen; parents, Norman and Esther Kainz and stepfather, Lloyd Meyer; daughter, Georgianna Krenz; sister, Eileen Zingsheim; and brother-in-laws Don Samuels and Jerry Zunk.
