BEVERLY WRIGHT

Subhead

Beverly Ann (Trickey) Wright was born on the family farm in Oasis, Wisconsin.  She was the third daughter in a family of six girls.  Bev started school in the country school close to the farm.  When that school closed, she had to go to Plainfield.  She once said she was really scared to go to the “big” town school.  She adjusted well, and went on to graduate from high school there.

She married the love of her life, Thomas Wright, on June 4, 1955.  The newlyweds moved to Milwaukee and soon after to the suburb of Cudahy.  Following Tom’s brother, Dick, the couple moved to Portland, Oregon, where they lived for several years until Tom was transferred to Charlotte, North Carolina.   While there Bev worked as a camera technician for Freightliner where Tom also worked. After retiring, the couple moved to The Villages in Florida.  Because Bev and Tom both wanted to be closer to their Wisconsin family members, they moved to Stevens Point.  When the winters became too much, they moved to Simpsonville, South Carolina, where Beverly died at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 13 days.

Tom and Bev had two sons, Todd and John. Bev dearly loved her boys and especially enjoyed going camping with her three guys.  She once said she could get packed up in an hour anytime the guys said, “Let’s go camping”.

She is survived by sons Todd Wright and John (Lydia) Wright.  She has eight grandchildren, Brandy (Shaun) Garrett, James Wright, Aaron Wright, Grant Eagle, David Wilson, Jessica (Gavin) Miebach and Ally (Matt) Rushing.  Bev enjoyed her five great-grandchildren, Kay’mere Snowden, Ty’Quaisha Williams Garrett, Ri-Najah Garrett, Tison Snowden Garrett and Ry’mere John Garrett. Two sisters, Donna Jacaboski, and Diane Hamiltion also survive. Three sisters-in-law, Ann Sigournery, Mary Bagby, and Linda Wright and two brothers-in-law, Cecil Bruce Wright and Jim Bagby survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, sisters, Shirley Saloun, Bonnie Downey, and Joan Lindstrom, and parents, Glen and Lena (Fischer) Trickey.  Several brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law have also passed away.

Bev was a loving person and will be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends.  Her ashes will be interred in a columbarium next to Tom at the Veterans Cemetery in Clemson, South Carolina.
