ARLEIGH F. DOMKE

Arleigh F. Domke, age 88, of Wautoma, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at Rosemore Village in Wild Rose.

He was born February 7, 1933 in Deerfield, the son of Darwin and Marjorie (Nelson) Domke. He married Darlene N. Zwetz on June 11, 1960 at the Hancock United Church of Christ.

Arleigh was a 1951 graduate of Tri-County High School in Plainfield.

He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force from 1954 until 1957. He was stationed at Elmendorf AFB in Anchorage, Alaska and later at K.I. Sawyer AFB in Michigan. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Later, Arleigh was employed at the Waushara County Highway Department in Wautoma and retired in 1995 after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene N. Domke; two daughters, Kim (Bob) Herr, Palo, Iowa, Kay (Dennis) Evans, Westfield; grand- children, Brett Herr, Palo, Iowa, Shiloh Herr, stationed at Fort Benning, GA, Dillon Evans, Phoenix, AZ, Dallas (Cassandra) Evans, Oshkosh, Denise (Mike) Jones, Madison Heights, VA, and Shawn Evans, Pamplin, VA; two great grandsons, Brian and Daniel; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Domke, Stevens Point, Renona Zwetz, Hancock. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Arleigh was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Duane Domke; and by two brothers-in-law, Gayle Zwetz and Ardell Zwetz.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, at Wautoma Union Cemetery with Rev. Stephanie Taylor of Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Full military honors will follow.
