Alice M. Santacroce, age 90, of Mount Morris passed away Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020.

She was born March 7, 1930 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Chester and Martha Mary (Wantoch) Korek. She married Dominic Santacroce on Aug. 20, 1949 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 2015 following 66 years of marriage.

Alice’s family owned Wantoch’s Tavern and Dance Hall in Milwaukee and she was a graduate of Riverside High School. She and her late husband resided in South Milwaukee for 31 years where they raised their family. Following retirement, they moved to Mount Morris Lake in Wautoma.  Alice will be fondly remembered as a very friendly and sociable person and had many dear friends throughout her life. She was a wonderful mother to her children and was always driving them to extracurricular school activities, including track, baseball practice, ballet, and cheerleading.

She is survived by five children, Donna Mulqueen, Linda (Jeff) Steffen, Mary Roth, Kathleen (Scott) Stritchko, Sam (Vicki) Santacroce; grandchildren, Matt (Katie), Katherine (Nate), Angela (Andy), Brian, Aimee, and Sam; great grandchildren, Madelyn, Maddison and Sophia; one brother, Robert Korek. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and by one brother, James Korek.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Oct. 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wautoma with Rev. William Evans officiating. She was laid to rest next to her husband at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, WI.

Visitation was held on Monday at the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of services. The Leikness Funeral Home of Wautoma is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be found at leiknessfuneralhome.com.
