ALAN “BIG AL” ROEMER

Alan “Big Al” Roemer of Wild Rose, age 57, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at home with his family.  He was born in Waupaca on July 24, 1963 to the late Anthony and Gloria (Nehring) Roemer.  On January 26, 1985 he married Katrina Kreeger; she preceded him in death on February 8, 2013.  He was a hard working family man with a desire for helping his friends and family.  Alan enjoyed hunting, riding his Indian motorcycle and ATV, and snowmobiling. He was a vintage tractor and snowmobile enthusiast.  Al volunteered for many community events, including Wild Rose Days and local snowmobile clubs.  He also enjoyed farming with his brothers on his parent’s dairy farm Century Plus Dairy Farm.  He liked talking with his family on CB radio and his handle was the “Irish Prince”

He will be sadly missed by his sons: Kevin (Valerie) Roemer, Nathan (Cassie) Roemer and Brent Roemer, granddaughters: Haylee, Hayzel and Lena; brothers: Brian (Suzanne) Roemer, Wayne (Lori) Roemer, Bruce (Colleen) Roemer, brother-in-law: Ken Thompson other relatives and friends.  In addition to his wife, and parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Thompson and nephew, Justin Roemer.

 

The visitation was held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
