Wautoma girls take 6th place at Oshkosh indoor meet

The Wautoma girls track team finished in 6th place recording 38.5 points at the 17-invitational indoor track meet on March 20 at the Kolf Sports Center at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Winneconne took home 1st place with 85 points, followed by: Berlin, 74.5; St. Mary’s Springs, 55; Laconia, 46; Princeton-Green Lake, 40; Wautoma, 38.5; Waupun, 32; Lomira, 31.75; Winnebago Lutheran Academy, 31; Omro, 26; North Fond du Lac, 22; Mayville, 18.5; Ripon, 15; Central Wisconsin Christian, 11; Markesan, 10; Campbellsport, 6.75; and Horicon, 2.

Taking 1st place in their events for Wautoma were Maddy Weisensel in 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 10.08 and Kiara Wedell, Shot Put, with a throw of 37-02.50.

Rounding out the top five for the Hornets was Weisensel taking 4th place with a high jump of 4-10.00, and Carley Burt’s a 5th place finish in the 60 Meter Dash with a time of 8.65.

• 60 Meter Dash: 4, Maddy Weisensel, 8.59; 5, Carley Burt, 8.65; Shanyce Davis, 8.77.

• 400 Meters: 17, Carley Burt, 1:13.29; 18, Delaney Salm, 1:14.08; 22, Marcel Buss, 1:15.87.

• 60 Meter Hurdles: 1, Maddy Weisensel, 10.08.

• 4x200 Meter Relay: 11, Delaney Salm, Harleigh Eagan, Allison Ewald, Juleanna Johnson, 2:05.19.

• Shot Put: 1, Kiara Wedell, 37-02.50; 7, Maddison Haumschild, 32-01.50; 17, Kaylie Roder, 27-06.00.

• High Jump: 4, Maddy Weisensel, 4-10.00.

• Long Jump: 13, Juleanna Johnson, 13-10.50; 14, Carley Burt, 13-09.50.
