Dorothy M. Wolf, age 87, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully, Sunday evening, March 31, 2024 at Thedacare Hospital in Appleton.
She was born May 16, 1936 in Portage County, the daughter of Albert and Della (Potter) Erickson. She married Anton J. “Tony” Wolf on September 15, 1956 at Plainfield Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on March 27, 2001. Dorothy grew up in the Plainfield area where she attended Tri-County Schools graduating in 1956. Dorothy and Tony owned and operated Tony’s Self Service Gas Station in Plainfield for 26 years until their retirement. She was an active member of the Plainfield Baptist Church where she served as church treasurer for many years. She was also a member for over 40 years of the New Rome Cemetery Association and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved putting puzzles together and collecting anything with frogs and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan enjoying a game in Green Bay once.
She is survived by two children, Jerry (JoAnn) Wolf, Athens and Linda (John) Carlson, Plainfield; six grandchildren, Douglas (Deborah) Wolf, Stanley (Krissy) Wolf, Amos (Jody) Wolf, Andrew (Kristi) Wolf, Jessica (Mark Hall) Carlson, Anna (Alex) Becker; great grandchildren, Deanna, Everett, Alexander, Oliver, Alivia, Jacob, Kinze, Gavin and Dean; her sister, Lucy (Robert) Ruffalo; two sistersin-law, Elizabeth Romell and Beverly Wolf; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Tony; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Romell and John Wolf.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at the funeral home and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of services. Burial will be in the New Rome Cemetery, Town of Rome, Adams County, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, memorials to various organizations have been established.
