Nancy A. Schubert, age 87, of Wautoma, formerly of Hancock, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, December 30, 2023 at Silver Lake Haven in Wautoma.
She was born April 26, 1936 in Wautoma, the daughter of Chester and Margaret (Blader) Wandrey. She married Norman A. Schubert on May 28, 1955 in Wautoma. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2016. Nancy was raised in Wautoma, graduating from Wautoma High School. She met and married the love of her life Norman and together raised a loving family of six. She enjoyed spending the winter months in Mesa, Arizona for 25 years. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Richford. Nancy’s greatest enjoyment was spending time attending all events her children and grandchildren were participating in.
She is survived by her loving children, Sylvia Sigourney, Coloma, Kathy (Dean) Buffington, Appleton, David (Pam) Schubert, Wisconsin Rapids, Mary (Mike) Resch, Plover, Bob Schubert, Coloma, Mark (Stacy) Schubert, Hancock; 12 grandchildren, Nathan (Jennie) Sigourney, Justin Sigourney, Kevin (Jody) Buffington, Anna (Bryan) Reinhold, Dixie (Andrew) Kurer, Jenny (Cole) Schubert, Aaron (Amanda) Resch, Kaitlin (Tim) Resch, Megan (Ian) Resch, Bradley (Rayne) Schubert, Jayden Schubert, Addison (Jon) Schubert; 10 great grandchildren, Ben, Carson, Mackenzie, Liam, Ava, Charlotte, Macy, Jack, Fischer and Cade; her brother, Donald (Barbara) Wandrey, Gillet and sister-in-law, Phyllis Wandrey, Stevens Point; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ed Sigourney and siblings, Robert Wandrey, John Wandrey and Jean Kruse.
Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 12:00 noon in the Stahl Funeral Home, Plainfield. Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Hancock Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services.
