Algrem-Felder inducted into Beloit College Athletics Hall of Honor

Katie Algrem-Feldner, a 2003 graduate of Wautoma High School, was inducted into the Beloit College Athletics Hall of Honor on Oct. 28.

A decade after leaving the Beloit College volleyball court Algrem-Feldner continues to hold four school records, including the most assists in a season and the most assists in a career, and broke 12 school records – a number of which were her own records from the previous year’s play.

In 2006, Algrem-Feldner helped lead the team to the Midwest Conference Championship, its first NCAA tournament birth, and was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Year.

“Katie was one of the finest setters that the college has ever had, by far,” said Ken Yasukawa, a longtime Buccaneers assistant vol-leyball coach.

A smart and dynamic player Algrem-Feldner was a four-year letter winner, an MWC Player of the Week honoree, a member of the MWC Crossover All-Tournament Team, as well as a three-time all MWC first team selection.
