REV. DALE DAVID BOENING

Rev. Dale David Boening, age 72, of Berlin, died peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin. He was born December 5, 1950, in Berlin, the son of Harold and Ruth Moldenhauer Boening. He was a 1969 graduate of Berlin High School. Rev. Dale was a 1973 graduate of University of Oshkosh, a 2003 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary of Indiana, and was ordained March 30, 2003, in the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod. Rev. Dale was Pastor for Budzin, Newton, and Mecan Lutheran Churches in Marquette County. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro. Rev. Dale had also been employed in the paper industry for 22 years in Milwaukee. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Green Bay Packers and was a stockholder as well. He is survived by his son, Christopher (Lorrie) Boening; daughter, Rebecca Boening; five grandchildren, Cassandra Boening (fiancé, Jordan Sanders), Stormie (Jeremiah) Wilson, Heather McCormick, Arianna McCormick and Zachary McCormick; four great-grandchildren, Heavenly, Toby, Keenan and Kashtyn; one brother, Gary (Jacilyn) Boening; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Boening; and sister-in-law, Christine Boening. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Neshkoro. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., at Zion Lutheran Church, Rev. Robert Busse officiating. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Neshkoro. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
