Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Struve, age 70, of Berlin, died peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton, surrounded by her family. She was born April 12, 1953, in Harlan, IA, the daughter of Gerald and Mildred Benning Struve. Libby was a 1971 graduate of Ripon High School. In June 1984, she was united in marriage to Stephen Beck. They later divorced, however remained friends. Libby worked for Bethel Home in Oshkosh and was a lab technician for Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh and Berlin Memorial Hospital, and later worked in the same-day surgery department. For many years, Libby worked at Sunset BP. She had a giving heart, always lending a hand to anyone whenever it was needed. Libby took great pleasure in planting and caring for the beautiful flowers outside the apartment complex where she lived. Every holiday she would decorate the inside. On Tuesday evening in the Summer you could always find her down at the park for the Berlin Farmers & Artists Market. Most dear to Libby’s heart however, was being a proud grandma. She made spending time with her grandchildren a priority, always attending their events. Libby was a past member of United Methodist Church in Poy Sippi. She is survived by her daughter, Catrina (Mike) Burgess; son, Stephen Beck Jr. (friend, Julie Paris); their father, Stephen Beck Sr.; three grandchildren, Lauren, Lane and Lucy Burgess; five siblings, Catherine Benish, Jean Boudah, Deborah (Jeffry) Gabrilska, James Struve and Patricia (Steven) Lisko; long-time friend, Char LaSure; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews and friends. Libby was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Struve. Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 16, at 11 a.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, Rev. Scott T. Piper officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 15, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, and on Friday one hour prior to the services.
