DAVID “DAVE” R. SIEVERT March 26, 1959 – Dec. 18, 2022

David “Dave” R. Sievert age 63 passed away unexpectedly at his home with his wife present on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was born in West Allis on March 26, 1959 to Donald and Delores Sievert. On October 8, 1994 he married Joan Stocks, nee Barber, in Milwaukee.

Dave worked as a mechanic for various companies. He enjoyed fixing mechanical things, time with family and friends, playing games and in previous years, hunting and fishing. He was always willing to help anyone less fortunate by providing a meal, a place to sleep or helping in any way possible. He faithfully attended Waushara Community Church until his illness. Dave loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and lived to show joy and love to his wife and others in spite of constant pain and illness. He loved life!

Dave is survived by his wife: Joan Sievert; step children: Jessica (Paul) Pihart, Matthew Stocks, Nathan (Cassie) Stocks; step grandchildren: Henry, Ollie and Charlie Stocks, Andrew (Katie) Pihart, Nolan Pihart; his dog: Sadie; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and his dogs: Yukon King, Molly and Izzy.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. (noon) on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Waushara Community Church, Wautoma. The family will greet relatives and friends at church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 p.m. (noon). Burial will take place at Hermitage Cemetery, Mt Hope, the morning of January 4th. Leikness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. www.leiknessfuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Waushara Community Church Benevolent Fund or American Kidney Foundation.

 

The family extends a special thank you to Dr Edward Lake, Aurora nephrologist, Davita Dialysis, Berlin and prayer warriors that lifted him up with daily prayer.
