Wautoma/Wild Rose soccer team faces off against three teams

On May 16 Wautoma/Wild Rose ladies soccer traveled to Melrose.  Midfield Laura Babcock had a close opportunity with a shot on goal, but ended in a goalie save. The Hornets played hard defense with goalie Vivian Fuss making 22 saves to fend off Melrose-Mindoro Mustangs, ultimately resulting in a 7-0 game in the Mustangs favor.

On May 17 the Lady Hornets soccer hosted Amherst in Wautoma. Senior Bri Velez had one shot on goal resulting in a goalie save. The Falcons played rigorous offense, even with 14 saves for goalie Vivian Fuss. The game ended in a 9-0 Falcon victory.

On May 20 Wautoma/Wild Rose ladies soccer traveled to Berlin where they played an entertaining match for the Lady Indian’s Senior Night. Berlin started the first half strong leading with 2 goals.  W/WR were on the offensive second half where they had 3 shots on goal by Sabrina Adair, Laura Babcock, and Abby Peterman, with 10 saves by goalie Vivian Fuss, not allowing any further goals. In the end the game resulted in a 2-0 game in Berlin’s favor.
