New weathervane tops Wild Rose Library

Subhead

The Patterson Memorial Library in Wild Rose got a new look with a classic weathervane donated by Library Director Kent Barnard and his wife Erin on Sept. 23.

“We had bought a weathervane for the top of our shed but realized we couldn’t really see it from the house and there was no point putting it on top of our house, because we’d never see it there either,” said Barnard. “Robbie Jansen on the Village of Wild Rose maintenance team painted the cupola and when he finished, Doug Jirik installed the weathervane, which I think really gives the cupola a finished look, said Barnard.”

The Patterson Memorial Library in Wild Rose is open weekdays from 10 – 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. – closed Sundays.  Storytime is Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.  The library is located one block east of State Highway 22 in Wild Rose.
