Homecoming 2021 is a few short weeks away. The week of Oct. 4th - 9th. This year’s Homecoming theme is “Decades.”
Homecoming Activities
Classes will be competing for the “Homecoming Championship.” Classes will accrue points during the week through participation in dress-up days, class games, float & banner rankings, Dodgeball, Boys’ Volleyball, and Girls’ Powder Puff Football. The class that wins the Homecoming Championship will receive a pizza party during Flex Time the following week. Boys’ Volleyball and Girls’ Powder Puff finals will take place on Friday morning, and the community is invited to enjoy the festivities. Wrapping up all the fun, the Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday, Oct. 9th from 8 – 11 p.m.
General Information
Homecoming activities will take place near the end of the school day, during the week of Homecoming. Dress-up days are as follows: Monday is “Pajama Day,” Tuesday is “Decades Day,”(Seniors - 90’s, Juniors- 80’s, Sophomores – 70’s, Freshman – 60’s, 8th Grade – 50’s, 7th Grade – 40’s, Staff – choice) Wednesday is “Neon Day,” Thursday is “Class Color Day” (Seniors –Black, Juniors- Red, Sophomores – Green, Freshman – Orange, 8th Grade – Pink, 7th Grade – Yellow, Staff – Blue), and Friday is “Purple and Gold Day.” Friday, October 8th is a day of various activities, decorating for Saturday’s dance, float building, Boys’ Volleyball Finals, Girls’ Powder Puff Finals, and the Homecoming parade. The community is invited to attend Friday’s activities and we hope to see a big crowd for these events.
Homecoming Parade
The Homecoming Parade will take place at 2 p.m., downtown Westfield on Friday, Oct. 8 and will follow the traditional parade route. We are hoping that our community’s many clubs, organizations, and businesses participate in the Homecoming Parade by entering a float, banner or vehicle. If you would like to participate in the parade, please fill out an entry form which can found on our school district’s website under the “Athletics and Activities” tab, then click on “Homecoming”, then select “Homecoming Parade Entry Form” or stop in the high school office to fill one out. All entry forms need to be returned or e-mailed to the Westfield Area High School office, no later than Thursday, Oct. 7th.

Homecoming Dance
The Homecoming dance will take place on Saturday, Oct. 9th from 8 – 11 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym. Dance attire will be semi-formal. Tickets to the dance are required. Students wishing to bring a guest from a different school must fill out a Homecoming Guest Dance Request Form in the office. The “Grand March” takes place at 8:30 p.m. Admission is not charged for parents or family members looking for a photo opportunity during the “Grand March”.
