Waushara County plans ceremony for 20th anniversary of 9/11

On Saturday, Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. on the lawn at the Waushara County Courthouse, Wautoma, American Legion Post 317 have planned a tribute to recognize those that lost their lives in the 9/11 attack on Sept. 11, 2001. Bill Rosenau, Waushara County Veterans Services Officer will give the opening remarks.

Chaplain Ken Bruch will give an account of the attack and Pastor Al Spitler will have the opening prayer and lead everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. The guest speaker will be Lafe Hendrickson. Rosenau will recognize the local first responders, police officers, and fire departments.

American Legion Post 317 will have a rifle volley and echo taps, followed by a minute of silence and a closing prayer by Pastor Al Spitler.
