At their April 20 meeting, the Redgranite Village Board approved a $18,225 bid from the Waushara Co. Highway Department for road work on Bonnell Ave., from Highway 21 to Foster Road.  The project includes crack-filling, patching existing potholes, double chip-sealing the entirety of Bonnell Ave., striping the double yellow center line, and landscaping all disturbed areas with seed and mulch.  The project is expected to be completed no later than August 21.

After discussion and input from Linda Leitner, representing the Post Office Bar, the board approved not increasing the 2021-2022 rates for beer, liquor, wine, cigarette, and operator’s license fees.  Leitner said that businesses in the village have not yet recovered from the lack of business due to the pandemic and cannot afford the pre-COVID license rates.

The COVID rates are:  Class B Beer license—waived (non-COVID--$150), Class B Liquor license--$50 (non-COVID--$200), Class C Wine license—waived (non-COVID--$100), cigarette licenses--$50 (non-COVID—same), and Operator’s Application fees—$10 (non-COVID--$20).

Village Clerk Christy Groskreutz conducted the oath of office to the following board members who were elected/re-elected in the April 6 spring election:  Fred Eichmann, Sandy Lyles, Belinda Passarelli (village president), and Laurie Oltesvig.

Groskreutz, during her report to the board, told the board that Lisa Zwickey, Redgranite Public Librarian, has resigned and referred to her letter of resignation dated April 2. Zwickey has accepted a new position at the Poy Sippi Public Library.
