On Thursday, Apr. 8, the Wautoma Kiwanis Club welcomed Brad Russ, Executive Director and Jason Sterling, Support Services Administrator National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College as the guest speaker via Zoom. He spoke about topics like trafficking, child pornography and amber alerts to name a few.

The National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College brought together a number of federally funded grant programs that began as a single grant within the Criminal Justice Division in 1993.  Twenty-seven years later NCJTC is recognized as a national leader in the area of criminal justice training, with responsibility for some of the nation’s most high-profile training and technical assistance programs. NCJTC is comprised of 60 highly talented staff members who manage 23 separate federal grants totaling just under $13 million annually.

Brad told the Kiwanis that the Amber Alert program was one that he started many years ago. Brad also talked about some of the Appleton Based Projects and showed us a list of many of the training courses they offer in-person and live, with an online instructor leading.
