Marlyn Harold Warner, 87, Wautoma, died on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at Theda Clark Hospital, Neenah. He was born on Nov. 1, 1926 in Muscatine, IA to Lenard and Alice (Trader) Warner. Marlyn entered the U.S. Army on March 8, 1945 and was honorably discharged on Dec. 30, 1946. Marlyn returned home and went to work for John Deere. On Sept. 13, 1947 he married Betty Denkman in Wilton, IA. Marlyn enjoyed reading his bible and teaching others what he had learned. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing cards with friends and family.

Marlyn is survived by his wife of 67 years: Betty Warner, Wautoma; son: Steve Warner, Weyauwega; daughter: Sandra Ruiz, Waupaca; sister: Lora Behm, Kerns, CA; grandson: Perry Ruiz, West Allis; granddaughters: Carmen Johnson, Waupaca, Brenna Topping, Wautoma; six great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Don, Gail, Fritz, Merle; and a sister: Norma.

Private family services were held at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma,
