Waushara County sees 20% turnout in election

In Waushara County there were 3,734 residents who cast their ballots, making an average of 20.02 percent voter turnout for the Partisan Primary Election on Aug. 11.

For the Rep. in Congress, District 6 there were 163 votes cast for Democratic candidate Matthew L. Boor, 188 votes cast for Democratic candidate Michael G. Beardsley, 994 votes cast for Democratic candidate Jessica J. Kling, and 2,210 votes cast for Republican candidate Glenn Grothman.

In State Senator, District 14 race, there were 579 votes cast for Democratic candidate Joni D. Anderson, 317 votes cast for Republican candidate Ken Van Dyke, Sr., and 748 votes cast for Republican candidate Joan A. Ballweg.

In the  State Senate, District 24, there were 689 votes cast for Democratic candidate Paul Piotrows and 1,110 votes cast for Republican candidate Patrick Testin.

Rep. to Assembly, District 40, had 569 votes cast for Democratic candidate Deb Silvers and 1,034 votes cast for Republican candidate Kevin Petersen.

For the Rep. to Assembly, District 41, there were 5 votes cast for Democratic candidate Nate Zimdars, 0 votes cast for Republican candidate Alex A. Dallman, 12 votes cast for Republican candidate Luke Dretske, 0 votes cast for Republican candidate Chuck Harsh, and 2 votes cast for Republican candidate Gary A. Will.

Rep. to Assembly, District 72, had 686 votes cast for Democratic candidate Criste Greening and 1,107 votes cast for Republican candidate Scott S. Krug,

For the District Attorney there were 1,254 votes cast for Democratic candidate Laura L. Waite and 2,115 votes cast for Republican candidate Matthew R. Leusink.

The County Clerk had 7 votes cast for the Democratic party and 2,142 votes cast for Republican candidate Megan Kapp.

For the Treasurer there were 6 votes cast for the Democratic party and 2,129 votes cast for Republican candidate Jessica Jaeger.

 

The Register of Deeds had 6 votes cast for the Democratic party and 2,138 votes cast for Republican candidate Heather Schwersenska.
