Wild Rose takes huge loss from Almond-Bancroft
Almond-Bancroft proved to be too much for Wild Rose as the Eagles ended up crushing the Wildcats 41-0 in football action on Aug. 31 in Wild Rose.
The visitors took an early drive to the house after gaining a series of first downs, both on the ground and in the air. Jackson Beggs carried the ball into the end zone from the 1 with 6 minutes showing on the clock. The PAT made it 7-0 in favor of the Eagles.
The hosts weren’t able to do much offensively with the possession immediately after Almond-Bancroft’s first score in a game that was full of penalties.
Wild Rose was able to get good yardage on a pass play to Travis Hansen before the first quarter ended.
Logan Wood picked up 6-yards on a run as the second quarter started, but the hosts were soon to turn the ball over on downs.
As Wild Rose was to receive an Almond-Bancroft onside kick, the ball ended up being recovered by the Eagles.
