Properties not in compliance assigned fines in Neshkoro

Several properties not in compliance with maintenance ordinances were assigned fines by the Neshkoro Village Board at their July 16 meeting. Owners of unlicensed dogs will face additional fines following notices. New owners of Wild Goose Flatts (formerly Nappys) addressed the  board presenting their plans for renovating the building before opening. In other business, the board opposed entering into a 10 year Prairie Grass Restoration agreement at Stan-O-Gene Park. Resolution #2018-2, Re-view of the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report, was adopted. Librarian Cheryl Milbrandt reported some donated books will be shared with Blessing Thrift Store, now open at the Neshkoro Community Center on Wednesdays and Fridays. A Robotics Lego program will take place at the Library from 1-5:30 pm on the following Thursdays: August 9, 16, and 23. Fire Chief Tom Krueger said he appreciated the Neshkoro Enhancement Com-mittee for this assistance at the June 30 celebration and stressed the need for cooperation among groups as well as the need for community support. The board will meet again on Monday, Aug. 6 at 6:30 pm.
