Waushara County Accident Report

5/29/18: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 6:09 pm on W4615 Cumberland Road, Town of Warren. Stanley W. Waters, 73, Redgranite, was driving eastbound in the westbound lane looking for asparagus in the ditch. Waters stopped because he saw some asparagus that he had passed. Waters backed up to go harvest the asparagus and backed into Christopher L. Brusky, 38, Pulaski. Brusky was eastbound in the eastbound lane. Brusky stated that he saw the vehicle stop and start backing up. Brusky stopped in the road and attempted to back up to avoid being struck by Waters but was unable to back up in time and was struck by Waters while stopped in the roadway. 5/31/18: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 3:10 pm on Elizabeth St W, Village of Plainfield. Jerry Knutson, Almond, was legally parked in a parking lot. Katherine Ann Grigsby, 16, Coloma, was making a turning maneuver in the parking lot and struck Knutson’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. 6/04/18: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 1:32 pm on the STH 22 Northbound intersection, City of Wautoma. Rebecca Jean Williams, 67, Pardeeville, was traveling northbound on State Highway 22. Dennis P. Dirindin, 69, Wautoma, entered traffic from the stop sign on Cottonville Avenue and entered the path of Williams, failing to yield the right of way. No injuries were reported.
