Waushara County felonies reported May 18-22

Jeremy Brandt Helgesen, Wautoma, appeared in court on May 18 on charges of Strangulation and Suffocation for a Status conference. A Plea/sentence hearing is scheduled for June 19. Dominick T. King, Mar-quette, appeared in court on May 18 on charges of Possession of THC (2nd+ Offense) for a Plea/sentencing hearing. Court accepts motion of the State to amend Count 1 to Misd. Possession of THC. Plea: No Contest to Count 1, Count 2 & 18TR676. Court accepts plea and enters JOC. No statement by the defendant. Court sentences the defendant to: 18CF36-SWD and places on probation for a period of 2 years. CONDITIONS: AODA and follow through, maintain absolute sobriety, may not be present upon the premises of any bars, and is prohibited from possessing/ingesting any impairing substances that have not been prescribed by a physician. Terms of Agent. Costs to be paid within 60 days or payment plan. DNA Sample (on file) and Surcharge ordered by the Court. Defendant advised of right to expunge DNA record through the Department of Justice.
