Handel is a two-time All-State pitcher and has earned a 2019 Honorable Mention All-State, 2021 2nd-Team All-State, with no 2020 season due to COVID, and was named as the 2019 and 2021 SCC Player of the Year. Piechowski was a 2021 Unanimous 1st-Team SCC Infielder.

Both athletes are having a very productive season this year too.

“It is great to see these two very deserving young ladies get recognized for their hard work put into the sport – fruit of their labor.  Furthermore, they are representing our Wautoma program which speaks volumes,” mentioned Wautoma Head Varsity Softball Coach Tom Butt.
