Subhead

On Nov. 12, Kiwanis had the opportunity to meet via Zoom with two of the Fox Valley Tech instructor’s that work on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) program.

Instructor Steve Meyer who is based at FVTC, Appleton campus spoke about current and future trends in education.  Instructor Mary Retlich is based in Wautoma, and she spoke about her specialty, which is Robotics.

As part of their presentation the Wautoma Kiwanis were introduced to some of the technology available for use in their programs.  They used a 360 degree camera/microphone which enabled group interaction with the instructors.  The program reinforced how lucky Waushara County and Wautoma is to have the Fox Valley Campus in Wautoma.

The Wautoma Kiwanis appreciate FVTC’s Chris Brown for providing them with speakers and Jeff Stahl for allowing Kiwanis to meet at Stahl’s Rembrance Center.
