Organizers announce today that mobile pantry sites will continue to provide no contact distribution of food in Waushara County during the months of November and December. The pantries are sponsored by the Waushara County Food Pantry in partnership with the Waushara Prevention Council, Inc., the Waushara County Department of Human Services, host sites and an army of community volunteers.
Mobile food pantries distribute items sourced by the Waushara County Food Pantry and packaged by area volunteers. The pantries will also offer USDA Stock Boxes for registered low income guests 60 years of age or older. Those wishing to participate in the Stock Box Program will be asked to register with name, address and date of birth. When attending drive-thru pantries, drivers remain in their vehicles and volunteers place boxes of food in their trunk or back seat. Guests are asked to limit visits one pantry site per week.
