Waushara Mobile Pantries announces June schedule

Subhead

Organizers announce dates for mobile pantry sites in Waushara County for the month of June.

Mobile food pantries distribute items sourced by the Waushara County Food Pantry. Volunteers pack boxes for distribution, transport food to sites and load food into the vehicles of pantry visitors. When attending drive-thru pantries, drivers remain in their vehicles and volunteers place boxes of food in their trunk or back seat. Guests are asked to limit visits to one mobile pantry site each month.

The pantry also offers the option of USDA Stock Boxes for low-income guests 60 years of age or older. If desired, qualifying seniors can register for the program on the day of distribution.

The pantries are sponsored by the Waushara County Food Pantry in partnership with the Waushara Prevention Council, Inc., the Waushara County Department of Human Services, host sites and community volunteers. Mobile pantries will be held during the third week of the month in the communities of Wautoma, Coloma, and Wild Rose.

For questions, contact the Waushara Food Pantry at 715-869-3663. In the event of inclement weather or other circumstances, cancellations will be announced on the Bug Radio 102.3 FM.
