As autumn is upon us, the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, South Wisconsin District (LWML-SWD) Zone 12 is preparing to hold our Fall Rally on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Grace Lutheran Church, Omro. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the Rally starting at 9 a.m. Everyone will rally together under the theme Turn Your Face Toward the SON, based on John 6:40. The Rally will feature Bible Study led by Rev. Paul Mundinger, and a Servant Event to assemble care kits for the residents of Omro Care Center and Juliette Manor, Berlin. A box lunch will be served.
Their Gifts From the Heart (ingathering) for the care kits include: Hand/body lotion, shampoo, body wash (all 8 - 16 oz size), denture cleaning tablets, denture cream, toothbrush, toothpaste, combs, and large print activity books.
To ensure that participants feel safe and comfortable attending this event, social distancing will be practiced, gloves will be worn during the Servant Event, and all are encouraged to wear face masks.
The public, men and women, are welcome to attend. There is no fee, but a free-will offering will be taken. A head count is needed to prepare the box lunches.
