On Sept. 12, 2020, at approximately 1:03 p.m., the Waushara County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a missing 3-year-old child from a residence on WIS 21 in the Town of Berlin.
Two troopers were first to arrive on scene and began to organize search efforts. They set up a perimeter and began searching for the child.
During the search, one of the troopers walked into a standing corn field where he could hear a child crying. He was able to locate the child who was uninjured, however, was scared, cold, and wet. As a result of the search, the child was safely reunited with her parents.
