Suspects identified in Berlin robbery

The Berlin Police Department was dispatched on Sept. 14 at approximately 9:16 p.m. to a robbery at a home located in the City of Berlin. A resident had been restrained by two suspects who displayed what was perceived to be a firearm. The suspects then fled with money and jewelry.

The suspects were later identified and they admitted their involvement in the incident. The male suspect has been identified as Walter K. Lamacki, 64, and the female as Angela M. Shepard, 39. Charges have been referred to the District Attorney’s office.

The victim in this case appears to have been targeted by these subjects. At this point no further threat to the community has been identified.

This case remains under investigation.
