Sondalle Speaks to the Rotary Club of Wautoma

Subhead

Steve Sondalle, the new owner of the former Cottage Motors in Wautoma, spoke to Rotary Club members about his purchase of the Wautoma location.

Sondalle stated that he has been in some part of auto sales since 1985, when going to college in Madison he worked in sales at one of the largest Chevy dealership.  He moved to Berlin 2001 working at and buying the Ford-Lincoln dealership.

Because of the COVID-19 shut downs last March, new car production was way down. By June new car sales picked up, causing a shortage of vehicles. Also, with fewer trade-ins the price of used vehicles is going up fast.  Parts for cars have a longer wait due to supply chain shutdowns. By the end of the summer everything should be back to normal as far as parts are concerned.

In the future, by 2035, he believes all vehicles will be electric.  The Sondalle dealership in Berlin now has two electric vehicle charging stations.

The Wautoma Rotary meets every Wednesday at noon at the Stahl Celebration and Remembrance Center east of Wautoma and on Zoom.  Rotary welcomes visitors and prospective new members to each meeting. Masks are required for the in person.
