Grandparents & Grandkids Hike on Ice Age Trail planned for Aug. 1

The Grandparents & Grandkids Hike will be hosted by the by the Waushara County Chapters of the Ice Age Trail Alliance and Walk-the-Waush Challenge.

Enjoy some well needed family time with your grandparents and grandkids of all ages. After over a year away from our elders here is a unique opportunity to make some memories on the Ice Age Trail right here in Waushara County. There will be Ice Age Bingo, prizes, and treats.

The event takes place on the Bohn Lake “Accessible” Trail on Sunday, Aug. 1st from 1 to 3 p.m.

 

Located one half mile North of County “C” on 9th Drive. 9th Drive is approximately seven miles West of Wautoma. Watch for the event signs. There is limited parking lot space so most parking will be on the roadside.

There are several trail options:

The Accessible Trail is approximately 1/4 mile long with a scenic overlook of Bohn Lake.

The Loop Trail is approximately 1.9 miles long with a boardwalk providing outstanding views of the lake. It includes the Accessible Trail and is of low to moderate difficulty.

All are welcome to attend this free, self-guided hike that you can walk at your own pace.  Walk-the-Waush Challenge participants can also use this hike to log their miles.

This event will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.
