Subhead

Patti Wohlfeil, Waushara County Public Health Officer said Waushara County is in their third week of giving Covid vaccinations with Moderna. The county will complete their 1a group by the end of this week and are now accepting appointments for those 65 and older and plan to start vaccinating on Jan. 25.

Call the Waushara County Health Department at 920-787-6590 for an appointment.  Wohlfeil said that they will have controlled spacing, the appointments will be on time and they request that people do not arrive early to keep with the CDC guidelines.  Once vaccinated the individuals will be asked to be seated in the hallway for 15 minutes in case of a reaction to the vaccine.

To date the county has vaccinated over 340 in the 1a group including front line health care, assisted living, home care, behavior health and some social workers, dental clinics, eye clinics, and chiropractic offices.  This week they are including fire, police, correctional officers, funeral directors, and coroners.
