Military History Tours, and veteran Keith Hess are looking for at least nine more veterans to make a return trip to Vietnam possible in 2022. Over eighty brochures and applications have been mailed out and just a few more are needed to make a return trip to Vietnam happen.

This trip was prompted by Berlin veteran Keith Hess, following the 2019 Returned to Vietnam as part of an Old Glory Honor Flight and as he never realized how much the trip would impact his life. He did not know that 50 years after the war, the emotional return that he and many others were hesitant about doing, would be an experience that would help bring peace to them so many years later. Now he is planning another trip back and encouraging other veterans to join him.

If you or someone you know is a Vietnam veteran and are interested in visiting Vietnam, this may be another chance. Hess is working with Military History Tours, putting together another tour of Vietnam from February 12-25, 2022.

This trip will be like the Old Glory Honor Flight that was put together two years ago. The trip will be open to 25 veterans and will cost $4,300 per person. Hess is hoping that others, like him, will want to return or experience their return to Vietnam for the first time since the war. The trip will include Coach travel to and from the Chicago’s O’Hare Airport, air travel to Vietnam and all lodging and most meals while in Vietnam. This trip will include tour guides and provide Veterans with an experience that can be healing.

Organizing a trip like this, does require participants to get a passport. Hess is reminding those interested that the part about having a passport is especially important and while there is no need to have a passport before applying, everyone will need one.

Participants interested in going on this trip, must be capable of walking on their own without help but are reminded that this is a trip that will move at the pace set for that of a normal 70-year-old.

Anyone who is interested in learning more about this trip or wants to participate should call Keith Hess at 920-509-9329 to learn more or obtain an application. The first 25 participants to respond and pay the $500 deposit will be able to take the return trip to Vietnam.
