The ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah bariatric center, in a partnership with Surgical Associates of Neenah, S.C., was recertified by The Clinical Sciences Institute (CSI) of Optum as a Bariatric Center of Excellence (COE).
The honor recognizes the program’s expertise and cost efficiency in delivering specialized bariatric care. ThedaCare remains a local and national leader in quality bariatric care.
“The recertification from Optum demonstrates the commitment to our patients and families,” said Dr. Kevin Wasco, co-medical director of ThedaCare Bariatric Surgery Center. “The program at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah is well-rounded, ensuring patients are supported before and after surgery in all aspects of weight loss, both physically and mentally.”
Dr. Wasco goes on to explain the recognition shows our patients and communities the program’s pledge to expertise and cost efficiency in delivering specialized bariatric care.

ThedaCare’s bariatric program is one of only four Bariatric Centers of Excellence recognized by Optum in Wisconsin. The other centers are located in Brookfield and Milwaukee.
